"Pretty useful, just a little expensive"
I’ve been using Lumen5 here and there, and overall it’s a solid tool. It definitely helps speed up making videos, and a few of the features are genuinely handy. That said, the price feels a bit high for how often I use it. If you’re creating videos regularly, it probably makes more sense, but for occasional use I’m still on the fence

"Cool idea, but the videos felt a bit off"
I tried using Lumen5 to turn a few blog posts into videos, and it’s hard to describe, but the results just didn’t feel like they really understood the point of the posts. The AI would grab random lines here and there, and some of the visuals didn’t really match what the text was talking about.
I ended up having to make a lot of edits, to the point where it almost felt like I was building the video myself anyway. It’s not a bad tool, and I could see it being useful for rough drafts, but if you need the video to actually be accurate and on-message, it might be frustrating...

"Pretty solid for a free plan"
I’ve been messing around with the free version of lumen5 for a little while now, mostly when I’m trying to put together quick videos from text without spending half my afternoon on it. I originally tried it on a random weekday after lunch when I was looking for something simple, it’s been good enough for what I need. There are definitely some limits, like the branding and a few features being locked, but that’s kind of expected with a free plan. For basic clips and quick little videos, it gets the job done without making things complicated. Can’t really complain when it’s free

"Made a video way faster than I expected"
I tried Lumen5 for a quick promo video, i was surprised by how fast it came together. I think I had a decent video ready in about 15 minutes.
I’m definitely not a video editing person, so I really liked that it didn’t feel complicated. I just added my text, chose a few clips, tweaked a couple things, and that was basically it.
Compared to some other tools I’ve messed with, this saved me a ton of time. Super easy to use, and I was genuinely happy with the result
"Felt a bit awkward waiting for support"
It took longer than I expected for support to get back to me, and I felt a little embarrassed checking so many times. But they did eventually reply, so at least it got handled.

"Subtitles worked great for my videos"
Adding captions was easy, and it saved me a lot of time

"Plenty of templates, but not quite what I expected"
There are definitely a lot of templates to choose from, and I did find one quickly. But I kind of felt misled because I expected them to be more polished or easier to use than they actually were.

"Smooth as butter for my quick video edits!"
I was kind of shocked by how smoothly this runs. For my quick videos, it’s been an absolute lifesaver, no annoying lag, no freezing, no making me want to scream at my screen. My edits just fly along, and it makes the whole process feel so much easier.

"Good overall, but the format options feel limited"
It works well for the most part, but I do wish it made handling different social media sizes a lot easier. The options feel a bit limited, and I’m not too eager to deal with customer service about it because I never really trust that they’ll be much help

"Took longer than I expected"
I thought Lumen5 was going to be one of those tools I could jump into and figure out in a few minutes, but I ended up spending way too much time just trying to do basic edits. The layout looks clean at first, but then every small change had me clicking around like I was missing something obvious.
Maybe it gets better if you have the patience to learn it, but I needed to make quick videos and just got frustrated. I still remember randomly getting stuck on a scene with a stock photo of a businesswoman holding a pineapple, which somehow made the whole thing feel even more confusing. Not really beginner-friendly for me...

"I’ve been using Lumen5 for a few..."
I’ve been using Lumen5 for a few months now, and it’s been a reliable time-saver for me. I’m not someone who’s especially skilled at video editing, but this makes it easy to turn blog posts or written content into short videos that look polished enough to share. Not every template is perfect, but there are plenty of good options, and the tool has been smooth to use overall. For what I need, it does the job well, and I feel comfortable recommending it.

"I found Lumen5 easy to..."
I found Lumen5 easy to get the hang of, and the branding options are mostly fine. I was able to add our logo, set up colors, and make the videos look fairly consistent without spending a ton of time on it.
That said, I’m not totally sure it gives you enough control if you’re picky about brand details. Things like fonts and layouts felt a bit limited to me. It’s probably enough for quick videos, but I do wish there was a little more flexibility

"Honestly surprised by how clean the videos looked"
I’ll admit I usually stick with my go-to brand, so I wasn’t expecting to be that impressed. But the videos came out really clean and the quality looked great with basically no fuss. Kind of annoying because now I’m torn between staying loyal and using this again.

"Sharing drafts with my team was surprisingly smooth"
I shared a few drafts with my team and everything just worked—no weird glitches or confusing steps. Small win for me: I didn’t have to spend extra time explaining where things were or fixing access issues...

"Rendering and exporting went smoothly"
I used it the other afternoon while I had coffee sitting next to my laptop, the rendering and exports worked fine for me. Nothing got stuck or acted weird, so no complaints here

"I’ve been using Lumen5 mostly for quick social..."
I’ve been using Lumen5 mostly for quick social videos, and the media library has been really solid. There are plenty of clips and photos that actually match what I’m searching for, instead of feeling like I’m stuck scrolling forever through random options. When I’m on a deadline and kind of trapped trying to get something finished fast, it saves me from having to jump around to a bunch of other sites. So far, I’m happy with it

"Pretty easy, but a little "clunky""
It was easy to get started with, but some of the editing tools felt a bit "confusing" and took longer to figure out than I expected

"Fast workflow, just needs a little cleaning up"
I mainly use lumen5 for turning blog posts into quick videos for social media. It’s straightforward: drop in the link, let it pull stuff in, choose the scenes, then I usually mess around with the clips and text a bit until it looks right.
It definitely saves me a bunch of time compared to building a video from nothing. The templates help, the whole thing moves fast, and exporting usually works without making a big drama out of it.
The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the visuals it picks automatically can be kind of off sometimes, like it grabs something that technically matches a word but not the point. So yeah, I still have to fix parts by hand, but overall it keeps the work moving and that’s mostly what I need

"Pretty easy to hook everything up"
I was able to connect my stuff without much hassle. The integrations worked fine for me, my gut feeling is that it’s a solid setup if you just want things to connect and get going.

"Pretty solid editing tools"
I’ve been using the editing tools and they work well overall. I was going to say they’re perfect, actually, they’re not perfect, but they get the job done and feel easy to use.
